Vietnam’s Leading Tastemakers Create Recipe e-Book to Raise Funds for Charity
Coming together for a good cause is a common theme for Vietnam’s food and drink industry. From charity boxing brawls to lockdown donation drives, the pandemic has seen many industry players from chefs to restaurant owners and even tech start-ups step up to play their part in helping the community.
This time, some of Vietnam’s most well-known chefs and mixologists have come together to contribute recipes towards a charity ebook. Recipes run the gamut from starts to mains as well as desserts and cocktails from industry tastemakers such as Julien Perraudin from Quince Saigon, Peter Cuong Franklin from Anan Saigon, Tung from TUNG Dining, Jay Moir from Summer Experiment and Layla - Eatery & Bar as well as Stephanie Aubriot from Maison Marou Saigon.
The ebook also features vegan recipes such as Julien Perraudin’s Laotian-inspired vegan dish made using fresh produce and household ingredients such as vegetable oil, garlic, lemongrass, shallots, coriander, mint, white cabbage and fried tofu.
The initiative named ‘Recipes for Revival’ is part of a joint collaboration between the American Chamber of Commerce Vietnam, Australian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam, EuroCham Vietnam, Epicure Vietnam to raise awareness and funds for the Food Bank Việt Nam and Saigon Children's Charity. Each ebook costs VND 350,000 (approximately USD 15) for a digital copy and 100% of all sales will go towards the two charities.
