L'Herbanyste is your tropical destination in the heart of Thao Dien boosting decadent bohemian decor and serving delicious vegan dishes mostly homemade and handcrafted from scratch by the team. Situated in a stunning villa tucked away in a small residential street, L’Herbanyste dishes out moreish vegan dishes including the likes of a Vegan Pulled Jackfruit Burger with scrambled tofu, meaty mushrooms and spinach served on crispy sourdough as well as colourful Buddha Bowls (Ayurvedic, summer glow and healing rainbow) with either red rice or quinoa.

Filthy Vegan does exactly what it says - serve up your favourite guilty, filthy pleasures but, well vegan. Think pizzas, British vegan pies, chilli vegan hot dogs, loaded fries with chilli con carne and vegan gravy as well as desserts including muffins, chocolate brownies, apple crumble as well as a weekly special donut. The menu is mammoth and definitely any vegan’s dream come true.
Located in the city center (walking distance to the city’s backpackers district), Filthy Vegan sources most of its ingredients locally and tries to be zero-waste using mostly biodegradable bags and paper for takeaways and deliveries. Last but not least, 10% of all profit goes to a vegan charity based in Vietnam.

Tucked away in a 3-storey building, while you might have to muster some courage to walk through a little alley that leads to Bong Sung, it’s definitely worth the trip. Founded by Youssef El Hamdaouy, Habiba Kitchen is a tribute to his loving grandmother who cultivated in him a passion and love for cooking as well as respect for nature and its ingredients. With everything made from scratch, Habiba Kitchen whips out fresh sourdough pita breads and an array of colourful and delicious dips inspired from Youssef’s fond childhood days growing up in a small village in Morocco. These dips include Hummus, Zaluka (a Moroccan dip made from eggplants, tomatoes, seasoned garlic and spices) as well as Bar Ba (a beetroot dip with tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and salt). Habiba Kitchen also does falafel sandwiches if you’re interested in grabbing a quick bite to go! Though just a delivery-only concept, you can often see Habiba Kitchen poppin’ up around town hosting Shakshouka pop-ups.
